The cold air can be felt from 24 feet across the room and it`s quiet. The 24 hour programer works easily and instalation was easy. Friedrich does not drill holes in their pan because it uses the water to cool the condenser and save energy which is one of the reasons this model is rated 10.7EER. There are also rust proof components used along with a thick 20 gauge drain pan. It seems a step above the cheaper a/c out there for longer lasting use.
